This officer has shown great ability in the reorganisation of the New Zealand Division prior to its arrival in France and in all the moves consignment on its transfer from the MEF.  His work in France has been most satisfactory.  His administrative ability and unfailing attention to work are such as to merit signal recognition.  His work on the Somme at the end of September and during October left nothing to be desired, and during the winter months his attention to administrative details within the Division has contributed in a  marked degree to the comfort, well being and health of the men.
