This Officer commanded his Brigade at Bellevue Spur on 12th October 1917, and was responsible for operations at Polderhoek Chateau on 3rd December 1917, whereby a considerable amount of ground was gained.  This officer has since left  the New Zealand Division owing to ill-health, after having served with it continuously as GSO-1 and as Brigade Commander since the commencement of the War, during which time he has served it well, and I should be glad if his work with the Division on the severance of his connection with it may be suitably reward
