Harry Charles William WRIGG (1842-1924) was born in Ireland. Emigrated to New Zealand in 1863. Wrigg earned the New Zealand Cross for gallantry in June 1867 at Opotiki, as a member of the Bay of Plenty Cavalry Volunteers. He was a Civil Engineer and Artist, later chief draughtsman in Auckland, and to the Public Works Department.
