Flight Lieutenant Peryer has a fine record of operational flying.  As captain of aircraft he participated in the Battle of the Ruhr, setting a fine example of untiring zeal and devotion to duty.  On many occasions, when his aircraft has been badly damaged by enemy action, the safe returnof his crew must be attributed to his skill and courage
