Colincamps, 30 March 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty, during an attack. While the captured position was being consolidated the enemy attempted to bring a machine gun into action. He at once rushed the gun and put it out of action, killing all the team. His prompt and courageous action prevented many casualties, and was a splendid example to his men.
