Died

Joined the Somerset Light infantry 11 August 1900 as 2nd Lieutenant.  Promoted Lieutenant 15 September 1903.  Transferred to the Indian Army as a Captain 19 June 1911.  Promoted to Major 1 September 1915.  Served in France September 1914 as Commander 9th Mule Corps, Indian Army.  Attached to ANZAC on Gallipoli April to November 1915 in Command of Mule Transport
