Obituary
COOK, Kenneth John, BEM. RNZN retired WO T20648 Ken passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday 29th January 2013. Beloved husband of Moetu (Moe) and best mate of four legged Cruze. Son of Ray and the late Eunice Cook, brother and brother in law of Allan and Barbara Jones (Temuka), Wendy Connolly (Invercargill), Bernie and Jan McGillen (Christchurch). Son in law of the late John and Betty Morunga. Brother in law of the late David and Ngarie, Jim and the late Lil Sampson, Clarke and Bubby, Celia Wharerau, all of Auckland. Monty and Mary Rihari (Whangarei), Mathew and Trish (Melbourne), Andrew (Auckland) and a cheeky cousin of Kate (Auckland). Chocolate loving Uncle to all his nephews and nieces and much loved special friend to his extended family. Many thanks to the staff at the South Canterbury Hospice for their care and compassion with Ken. Many thanks also to the staff at Oncology and DPS, Timaru Hospital for their dedication, care and laughter. Ken's service will be held at Aoraki Funeral Home Chapel, 160 Mountainview Road, Timaru on Friday 1st February 2013 at 11:00am. thereafter to the Temuka Cemetery.
