During an attack when all the officers had become casualties before attainment of the first objective, this Warrant Officer assumed command, and with great courage and ability led them to the final objective.  Though slightly wounded during the attack, he superintended consolidation and carried on with his duties.  Throughout, his coolness and determination under heavy fire and his fine leadership greatly inspired his men
